Issued in 1907 through 1909, these postcards of the Detroit Tigers were published by Detroit's H.M. Taylor company.  The cards feature individual players as well as team members together, and even Frank Chance, manager of Detroit's 1907 World Series rival, the Chicago Cubs. Some cards acknowledge Fred G. Wright as photographer.

H.M. TAYLOR POSTCARDS
Oddities
This exceedingly scarce variation of the Floral Horseshoe card comes with a line of printing at the lower left, reading "By permission of M.A. Lafond & Co., Detroit, Mich., 'Fine Cigars Kept Fine'."

Lafod was a tobacconist with at least six stores in the Detroit area and even ran billboard advertising on the outfield wall of the Tigers' homefield, Bennett Park.

This postcard of Bill Donovan was issued in 1908 by Fred G. Wright who provided the photos to the H.M. Taylor cards issued contemporaneously. This card is printed on similar stock with much rougher graphic quality and lettering.
