Beginning in 1907, the A.C. Dietsche company of Detroit began marketing a dark-hued postcard set depicting black-and-white photos of the hometown American League champion Detroit Tigers, along with a set of their 1907 World Series rival, the Chicago Cubs. Another set of Tigers postcards was issued in 1908, with several additional individual baseball cards printed in 1909.
